Darryn John Murphy was born in Auckland New Zealand in 1970. He was first published at the age of nine with his mother Susan E Murphy with an award winning children's short story "You too can be a helper" released in Australia by Southern Cross publishers in 1979. In 2002 Darryn John Murphy returned to writing when he wrote his first poem "heart", which was published by the international library of poetry and went on to be recorded on the Sounds of Poetry and also received an editor's choice award for this as well. Since then Darryn has gone on to appear in various publications such as the Best Poems and Poets, The Who's Who in Poetry released by the international library of poetry. Darryn john Murphy has also gone on the start his own greeting card company with his family in New Zealand called Inspirational Writings. Darryn john Murphy's passion for writing has been a lifetime of pleasure for him and the readers of his work and now he brings to you a short children's story The Innocence Of Youth.
